Alistair Brearley – Managing Director
The third generation of Brearleys to work for Thomas Ware & Sons, Alistair started in the Tannery in 1996, and like his father worked his way through the departments gaining experience. He then spent some time at Garston Tannery and three years at Nene College before returning full time in 2001. He went onto the board in 2008 as production director before being appointed as Managing Director in 2012 to take over the reins from his father, Marcus.
Barry Knight – Sales Development Manager
Barry has been in the leather trade for his entire 30+ years career. Much of his early career was dedicated to technical development, having served on both Northern Group and National Council of the society of leather technologist and Chemists (SLTC). He was awarded a Fellowship (FSLTC) for his contribution to the society and trade, the highest professional grade and only occasionally awarded. Over the last 10 years or so he has been actively involved in developing new markets, both home and abroad and until recently was President of the United Kingdom Leather Federation. Barry has a strong background in all tanning technologies, but specialises in equestrian leathers, technical leathers and sport ball leathers.
