Thomas Ware and Sons Ltd has been operating since 1840 and we remain the biggest of the traditional British leather pit tanneries.

Using a combination of time-honoured leather tanning techniques and modern technology, we produce a range of leathers that we supply to customers all over the world.

In recognition of our growing global enterprise we were awarded the UK’s most prestigious business accolade, The Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade, in April 2018.

Traditional leather skills remain at the heart of our business, whilst technical developments ensure that Thomas Ware and Sons Ltd. continues to succeed now and into the future.

SPOGA Horse 2018


Following on from the amazing success of last year’s show we are exhibiting again at SPOGA Horse 2018 in Cologne, Germany from 2-4th September.

  • Albion bridle 3.8-4.2mm. 1.4 x 65cm and 1.5 x 60cm.

  • Soft dressed saddle butts 4.0-4.5mm and 5.0-5.5mm for close contact saddles.
